HI! I recently joined SCPA. I'm originally from the upstate (Spartanburg area), and I went to Indiana for my doctoral studies in clinical psychology. I concentrated in child and adolescent populations. I am currently completing my pre-doc internship at Astor Service for Children and Families in Rhinebeck, NY. I work primarily in a residential treatment center for children. I have a range of experience in therapy and assessment with families, children, and adolescents.
I'm hoping to find a post-doc fellowship in SC or Western North Carolina after internship (Late August 2011) and become licensed in SC. I haven't found very many opportunities for this in SC, which is probably due to my being out of the state for graduate studies and training.
I'm very interested in residential programs for children and adolescents. I've located one or two programs in SC, but can anyone give me some additional references for these types of programs? I also have a strong interest in wilderness therapy and outdoor approaches used in clinical treatment (with ODD, CD, ADHD, mood disorders, ect.).
