Membership Levels
Members of the Association will be persons who meet the minimum standards for election to member status below, who apply for membership and remit corresponding dues. SCPA "dues year" is the calendar year; dues are paid annually, due January 1, and are not prorated. Each membership type below includes a description of the prerequisites. | Sustaining Member $360 |
| Any
member who elects to offer support at a higher financial level, this level of
membership also includes your annual dues for the appropriate category and
membership to one division. Additional divisions will require payment of
membership to those divisions |

| Licensed Doctoral Member $240 |
| Requirements
include receipt of the doctoral degree in psychology from a regionally
accredited institution with a minimum of 60 semester hours clearly
psychological in nature, or are a psychologist licensed by the state of South
Carolina. In addition, anyone who is a
member of APA or APS will be eligible for membership if they either reside in,
or are principally employed in, the state of South Carolina. |

| Introductory Licensed Member $150 |
| A reduced first year rate is available to Licensed Doctoral Level Members. Requirements
include receipt of the doctoral degree in psychology from a regionally
accredited institution with a minimum of 60 semester hours clearly
psychological in nature, or be a psychologist licensed by the state of South
Carolina. In addition, anyone who is a
member of APA or APS will be eligible for membership if they either reside in,
or are principally employed in, the state of South Carolina. |

| Non-Licensed Doctoral Member $90 |
| Requirements
for Non Licensed Level members include receipt of the doctoral degree in
psychology from a regionally accredited institution with a minimum of 60
semester hours clearly psychological in nature or are a psychologist licensed
by the state of South Carolina. In addition, anyone who is a member of APA or
APS will be eligible for membership if they either reside in the state of South
Carolina or are principally employed in the state of South Carolina. Rate for
Non Licensed Doctoral Full Level does not include SCAPP (Practice Division)
membership. |

| Associate Member $140 |
| Open
to individuals with a master's degree in psychology from a regionally
accredited institution with a minimum of 24 semester hours of graduate work in
courses clearly psychological in nature. Associate
Members may also apply for division membership if their graduate training or
work is in the related field of applied psychology. |

|
| Retired Member $60 |
| A member of 5 years standing in SCPA who reaches the age of 65 and who
is still receiving a psychology income will be entitled to special dues
consideration upon written request to the association as a Life Member
Not Retired at the membership rate of $60. A member of 5 years standing in SCPA who reaches the age of 65 and who
receives no income from psychology will be entitled to making only
voluntary contributions to SCPA upon written request to the association
as a Life Member-Retired. Suggested contributions are $30 for
administrative costs. |

| Student Affiliate SCPA $30 |
| Student Affiliates are graduate or undergraduate students majoring in psychology.
Professional
Affiliates are persons with a master's degree primarily psychological
in content or with a bachelor's degree in psychology, or who are
teachers of psychology in secondary schools or two-year colleges.
Persons with an expressed interest in psychology may also be considered
for membership in this category. When applying for student membership you must include the name of your adviser for verification of student status. |
